Skye

The Skye road bridge is 46 miles from the cottage, and the Isle of Skye can be visited on a day trip.  For those looking for adventure, there are the Black Cuillins.  The tops of the Black Cuillins are not, however, for the inexperienced or for those with a fear of exposure.  For those seeking less strenuous and serious routes, there are many low level walks through outstanding scenery where the grandeur of the Cuillins can be admired from below.
